Iwonka T. Eagle, RD, MS
In 2000, Iwonka Eagle graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and began her career in research at the Karmanos Cancer Center. Her interest in oral health was sparked soon after, which led her to pursue a career in dental hygiene. Iwonka completed her dental hygiene studies at the University of Michigan in 2004, earning a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She returned to the University of Michigan and, in 2014, graduated with a Master of Science in Dental Hygiene. Throughout her career, Iwonka has taught extensively across various programs in the division of dental hygiene, including undergraduate, degree completion, and master's programs. She also serves as the course director for Fundamentals of Periodontics for first-year dental students. In 2018, Iwonka began researching Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS) and has since presented her findings at both national and state levels. Her research in this area is ongoing. Iwonka Eagle is also highly active in the American Dental Education Association, where she holds various leadership roles, and she is a member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association.
