Descriptions: We explore the principles and techniques of myofunctional therapy, focusing on the impact of oral muscle function on overall oral health. We will also hear from dental hygienists who have integrated myofuntional therapy into their practices.

This CE is geared toward: Dental Hygienist and Dental Hygiene Practice. Though this CE has a focus on dental hygiene practice, Dentist and Dental Assistants can still earn CE credit for this course.

Ashley C. Ryan, RDH, BSDH

Ashley is a passionate Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist with a strong focus on airway health and functional breathing. She began her journey in Myofunctional Therapy in 2021 and became certified to see patients in early 2022. Since then, she has continued to expand her expertise through advanced training, including completing Dr. Richard Baxter’s Tongue-Tied Academy and enrolling in the Oxygen Advantage® Functional Breathing Instructor course. Ashley started her private practice in 2023, working with patients part-time while dedicating herself to ongoing education. Her mission is to provide the highest quality care by combining a deep understanding of Myofunctional Therapy with the latest knowledge in breathing and airway function.
